Dusk To Dawn Poem by Jackson Linn

Dusk To Dawn

Rating: 2.7

Dusk turns to night, as dawn turns to day
Waking in the midst of fright, This is the so called night
I wonder about, no words to shout,
What ponders my mind, is the words I cant seem to find,
For when stuck from the dusk, before one reaches the dawn,
Your mind is inconceivable, its quit unbelievable
I can no longer say, I control my own way
For the darkness of night, controls all the worlds blight,
We writhe in pain, all crazed and insane
We wait for the dawn, which will one day surely spawn
I scream and I shout, “help” “help”, but no ones about,
The darkness is seeping through, I can no longer construe,
What my place was here, so I wait for my final tear
To shed down my face, slow and steady is its pace
While I sit and wait, for death to take
My final breath which I wished was long gone,
A moment appeared, a light is being neared?
Like a deer I am dazed by this blinding light,
Suddenly I am latched and lifted by bay flight,
While in my moment of reckoning, I thought the arch angel had me beckoning,
What I saw brought tears of joy, no longer stuck in this ploy
I cant believe my eyes, the jaws of life had my pried
Ripped out from my dusk, the surrounded feeling of rust
My dawn had actually arrived, I couldn’t feel more alive
A man reached out his hand, I lunged, this was so unplanned
I thought I was being left to die, but now I am free to fly?
My hope has been restored, I have been forged a new
My dawn has finally arrived, but now I am lost, I don’t know what to do
I shall become the dawn, for someone else who shared my pain
Someone whos lost hope that I can turn from the insane,
I made it through my dusk, my dawn had arrived
Now its my turn to be, what has rescued me
May it be god, may it be man
What does it matter, just reach out a hand
And help those who have been lost, who cant bear to be tossed
Break them from their dusk, bring them into the dawn
For the last thing our world needs, is one more hell spawn
