Dying Poem by Christina Kosemund

Dying

You took my life
And turned it upside down
At first it was amazing
But then it turned around

With every kiss you took some more
Of my faith and purity
And my love capacity is draining
Just like a dying tree

Leaf by leaf, they fall away
Branch by branch, they die
And after all the tree is dead
Still there the tree will lie

Though not dead yet
I'm on my way
My love is dying
Pick me up, I pray!

I feel like I'm too far away
To feel like I'm too far away
To feel some love at all
And when I feel like screaming
No one's there to hear my call

I know that God is always there
To show me His great face
But you, sir, took my love
And now I feel like a disgrace
