Dying Pinpricks Poem by Autumn Winds

Dying Pinpricks

Rating: 4.5

Wisps of smoke
Still linger
Where embers are buried
Under ash

Shadows of what was
And what could come again
Move in the corner
Of your eyes

Sighing light
Of stars long dead
Fill the air with
Brightness

Thought destroyed
It moves silently
Swiftly and quickly
Growing in power

Feeling trapped in a
Cage of your making
In an unwanted future
You stuck yourself in

The panick sets in
Sticky and dark
it grabs you
Only dying pinpricks can save you

Yet another beautiful poem. Can't for the love of me understand why someone has rated your poems - only 5. Perhaps a lack of appreciation on the readers part. Let that not put you off. Great read.
