What happened to the earth that was once so green?
Without any cleaning, bright colours would gleam
In the past and even now, it provides us with so much
With nature, the people of the past were so in touch
Every time the earth is abused, it’s another blunder
When? I ask when will we snap out of this slumber?
When will we see our resources are running out?
I don’t think we want to go through another drought
In today’s date, some of the greenery we see is artificial
The resources we need to preserve, it’ll prove beneficial
For the generations, there wont be resources that are real
You know, I still want to be able to slip on a banana peel
In the end everything runs out, we should know better
Don’t be materialistic, ‘cause you won’t even take a sweater
