Earth Beauty Poem by Felix Lugo

Earth Beauty

When I turned away I didn’t cry,
but I saw your tears fall.
I watched your beauty get damage
from the fire that started this all.
I watched you burn down until I saw
your ashes fly away.

Your face was so sad.

We must stop the burning of the trees;
you have no idea what they mean to me.
I can’t breathe nor I can see through the smoke.
We need to cherish the life of green,
and let them breathe.
This world must come to an understanding
on what tree life can bring.
We must stop the burning of the trees
before we destroy the earth’s beauty.
