Earth Day '21, Western Lowland Gorilla - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

On Earth Day, twenty twenty one
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo
Conservation work's being done,
But so much more we need to do.
Western lowland gorillas be
An endangered ape species that
Are losing very rapidly
Their west African habitat.
Humans are cutting down the trees,
Leaving the land wasted and bare,
Homeless gorilla refugees
No longer able to live there.

Support enterprises that use
Good forest plans that don't abuse.
