Echoes Of The Past Poem by Desert Life

Echoes Of The Past

Memories of that September day,
Of your sparkling eyes,
And your youthful enthusiasm,
like a lightning, strike me hard.

Friendship that blossomed,
Nights where kind words were spoken,
Your gentle deeds,
Your warm touching heart.

Oh… every moment has its ending,
Though the pain unbearable is,
Your pleading and parting words…
Forgiveness and never to forget,
Memories that refuse to fade away…
On the contrary,
It gets stronger by the day.
