All,
that I long for
is the dim light of dawn
and a memory I buried
on a cemetery morning.
in a tomb covered canyon
of marble white stone.
in a melancholy drizzle
of deep mist and cold
by a whisper of prayers. By an open earth grave!
By my broken words!
By my tears in the rain!
A Soft, sweet lullaby
for God she now sings,
By the ringing of the church bells! My mother!
as she was buried!
Everything!
that I long for!
NOTHING!
I could want!
but the echo of a memory
........of all that is gone
