Eclispe Of A Broken Heart

Should have known you would not catch me,
Your lies spoke right through your tender lips,
As I was stuck into the emotions of your eyes.

Should have known there was another girl,
I was too wrapped up in your tongue to notice,
As your embrace surrounded me all around.

Should have known you are a cliche heart breaker
I was your gentle innocence you fooled with,
As my heart became your target holding daggers.

Should have known this is not the way love goes,
Being used as your lover on those lonely nights,
As your body was something I could not resist.

Should have known I would fall in love with you,
Never thought of building a wall between us two,
As I was just a young teenager with her boy crush.

Should have known I was not as weak as I thought,
Tears wasted on someone who was not worth it,
As I was the one who was left with a broken heart.
