Eden Poem by Alecia Carroll

Eden

Some say Eden no longer exists
But my logic is this
That Eden is wherever
We're together
Baby boy, if you just allow me one moment of your time
I'll explain my love
For you through this rhythm

E is for eventually-
Which is when we'll be together
And when we do, your broken half of a heart
Will fit mine to a T
Then you'll see that
We're meant to be and
That we shouldn't
Leave this scene
Cause if we do, my
Heart, for you, will scream
And it won't be soft

D is for the danger-
The danger that I'll face
When I meet the perfect stranger
Whether in the woods
Or the park- I know it'll
Be the start of our love
Yet the danger is not worried cause
Unlike most thieves you'd
Leave a token of your
Love for me, like showers
Of hugs and kisses and romantic notes that
Say I'm your missus
"Sweet Thang"

E is for excellence
I'll be your Juliet
And you'll be my Romeo
‘til God tells us com'mon
I hope that'll be alright
For you
Cause it'll sure be
Outta sight for me

The rear letter is N
I'm not through, please
Hear me out!
N is for No one-
The tenant of my complex
Heart- where the heat
Ain't on- it's a cold one
But, once you come with a blanket, people will
think its pretty toasty
up in hear
But still…
Some say Eden no longer exists, but my
Logic is this, that Eden
Is wherever we're together
