Effortless Poem by Kat Hix

Effortless

i walked alone
yet to see you here
the woods are quiet now
leaves are failing
to breathe
and you
have not you
forgotten this place

this place
that once grew
a memory
we shared
this place
that knows the
woods too
well

please remember not
the rhythm of the woods
and the blues of the leaves
to worry about these things
so much you lose your
energy and effort
effortless love will gain
no trust
