Einstein Poem by Kadelynn Roberson

Einstein

My evolution into human
Or my descension into madness
Only the truly enlightened can begin to grasp this

To elevate so high it's no choice but to regress into savage
It's fear or it's lunacy
But I'd rather be branded erratic than asthenic
Because the greatest people are often times demented

To comprehend beyond emotion
humanity, loyalty, and devotion
To become the cynic you once strived to illuminate

Omniscience is the gateway to self hate
Knowledge is power
And power is dangerous
Our brilliance will certainly be the death of us

I turn my faith to a God
But I am not sure if I believe
With intellect comes consequence
The realization of ignorance

And all it's heavenly bliss
Still hoping for the best in shadow of the worst
I am the great threat to happiness
The gift and the curse
