Eirenicon Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Eirenicon

Rating: 5.0

Livings graciousness long passé
modus Vivendi ruled criterion
natural smiles friendships evince
forgotten soul valerian
rhythm desensitized
common tongue three ruled Aesopian
traumatized thus
being humane an anarchical absinthian.

Humanity's beast, belligerent ideal
warring fetes despoliation
infernally conflict blessed
peace curst into abannition
heinous thinking baseless minds
wreaking death's acuition
depravity praised salvation razed
accelerating man's annihilation.

World's conscience wholly condemned
into that dark abyss
consciousness tortuous partiality
harmony cowls on hate's amyss
browbeaten downtrodden beings all
souls seasoned savorless
atavist, man reverted Neanderthals
espousing scurrilousness.

Humankind's credulity amiss
in simplicity sings truth's apothegm
intendents mired in profit politic
ignore reality's parapegm
evigilation calls, souls arise
drink now our future's eclegm
consummative beings disperse a cure
hearts soon dephlegm.

Friendship's truth beholder's gift
peace is life's new distinction
attestants stand beside integrity
intuition a soul's allocution
performing love thought acts
inspires livings new supererogation
miracles beset world angst
peace is future's true cantillation.

Avoiding and ignoring conflicting viewpoints we can live together for the greater interests of love, peace and coexistence. A great and thoughtful poem..............10
