Eldrick Mikael Poem by Michael B. Ventura

Eldrick Mikael

Mikael is my second name but you can call me Eldrick,
That's my first name, it's as strong as a wall of bricks.
I love music and I can play the ukelele everyday in a week,
If you want, we can play all day, hey I'm energetic!

My close friends call me EL, and I always can tell,
When they're up to something, it always rings a bell.
My Mom, Dad and my family, they call me Miguel,
That's a lot of name right? the confusion, I can almost smell.

I'm 13 years old and I should be responsible, I was told,
With a height of 5'5', Should I not shiver in the cold?
My teachers have me study things so I could be bold,
My family teaches me virtues so that I would be mold.

This is getting long and I hope the rhyming would sell,
I don't want you to be bored, in your mind I might not dwell,
So I want to end this poem in a manner that is so well,
And yes you can always call me Eldrick Mikael.
