Oh Life, embrace me
As I travel through life’s journey,
For I have always borne the burden
Of life’s sorrow and pain stoically!
I have participated in your transitory
moments of happiness,
And also in my share of merriment
and laughter;
Laughter, whose sound like the
Cascading waterfall, sparkle and
Gleam in the golden sunlight
of happiness!
I have paused many a time
Under your cool green shade
Oh Life, to continue my journey
Once again, refreshed.
Oh Life, embrace me once more,
As I near my journey’s end,
For who knows when
We shall meet again?
You have been a trusted friend
all through;
It is always difficult for old friends
To part,
For it leaves behind a tear
And a sorrowing heart!
Hoping that in some divine dimension,
In some better clime, -
Where life is not measured
By our time’s duration,
We shall meet once more,
To embrace, without separation!
