Emily Poem by Jason R Tschetter

Emily

<The days go bye untold between my heart and my soul
Three times my mind goes back to what is told
Their is something that will never die and unfold
But I am hear today and tonight to hear the problems of the lonely
To hear the only things that press the mind into the black
To hear the songs of the lonely and the slack
She sits with my child to bear
With my head upon her chest to wear
I can feel their hearts small to thump
To sing and bump
knowing she is pregnant with my child
And there is nothing but whisky on my lips wild

I can see that my son or daughter will be forever
The way that I wish to be indever
So I force myself to be
The one
The only
One that will see

I am here
For them and through fear
I am hear
For them forever
And never shall I forget my pledge and song
For I shall be here forever long.>
