The mirror reflects so many years
My eyes show the scars of so many tears.

Longing to be the one to light up your face
But that is all void for there isn't a trace.

Did you ever love me or was i a mistake?
Have all these years just been useless and fake?

My heart has turned black unable to feel
My world has turned empty it doesn't feel real.

Time slips away and all seems lost
I yearn to feel love no matter the cost.

Needing to wake from what I've become
To feel my heart beat and shine like the sun.

Needing someone to love me for me
And not for the person you want me to be.
