Empty Poem by Nicole Faye Evans

Empty

The lonelier I get
The harder it is to breath in
To gasp
For the air surrounding me.
To fill my body full of what it needs
And to release it slowly.
It is something i must learn to do on my own
Because not having you
Is like having no air to breath.
Empty.
Lifeless.
I have to use everything in my body
To have that rise and fall
Sometimes I don't want to breath
Sometimes I don't want to see
Or speak, or hear.
Because then I wouldn't have seen your anger
I wouldn't have provoked your anger
And I wouldn't be able to hear your anger.
You left me
And I don't understand why.
