Empty Space Poem by Laura Holcomb

Empty Space

I can't fall asleep,
I'll see you in my dreams,
I waken with fears,
you're more than it seems...

I could never be your dream girl,
all you have are nightmares.
I could never see you in my dreams,
with you in them they're nightmares.

When I see you, I find it sad that you don't dare,
to say a word to me, you just don't care.
I wanna forget you, your making it hard,
somehow I'll be loved, even with this scar.

The scar you left me is where you stole my heart,
I would like it back now, so my life can start,
So please believe i'm sorry, this isn't what I wanted,
I just wanted to see you happy, but you still haven't forgotten
