Magical, full of wonder and hidden mysteries
Angel’s wintry down feathers falling
From bright, cotton filled Carolina skies
Crisp winds kissing rosy cheeks,
Nipping at numb, shivering little fingers
Teasing rubied noses with cinnamon,
Nutmeg, ginger, cedar and fresh pines
Crimson cardinals flutter in the fluff
Icy breaths of Jingle bells from chattering lips
Kissed with sweet cocoa and Chap Stick
Elongated crystals projecting rainbows
From naked branches laden by their weight,
Across shimmering icy ponds crowded by
Lovers adorned in colorful hats and mittens
Laughter and kisses behind frost-coated windows,
Warming hearts and frozen toes by glowing flames
That billow smoke signals from their chimneys
Beribboned, twinkling fragrant evergreens
Enchant childlike minds into sleepless nights
Unraveling their own Christmas fairy tale
