To the night I turn to sleep slowly into my mind darkness creeps
Shadows create a forbidden ode of terrors new and old
If these shadows should offend they shall surely have me in the end
Hopefully by then all my sins I will have amend
My mind begins to think upon this a many a thoughts of sorrow
Sorrow of all my failed tomorrows
Will these thoughts haunt me no more each painful thought frightens to the core
I try to wake up so these thoughts I will not explore
But suddenly something flies through my door
My eyes open to a ghastly sight, a creature eyes glowing red in the night
Over my bed it hovers I quickly try to grab the covers
I shield my face from the awful thing but I can not escape the pain that it has come to bring
With a voice loud as thunder, the creature roared and filled my head full of its dark wonder
The dark spell it cast surely I have fallen under in the past
All night the creature roared until I could take no longer take anymore
I implored that creature leaves and takes these dark images with him
But the creature replied that my nightmare has only begun and that he shall continued until the rising sun
Second after second the nightmare continued just as he said as he steadily filled my head
I endured the pain that whole night and give the creature quit a fight
Yes a fight as I waited for dawn's early light
Soon the sun rose and I sprouted to my toes standing firm with my face covered I looked no creature it no longer hovered
I let out a sigh of relief because I knew this endless nightmare would be beyond belief
