Endless Shores Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Endless Shores

Rating: 5.0

I look across the sea at all the waves that are rolling,
Towards the coastline on which I now stand,
The ocean keeps changing and rising and falling,
The colour of sky as it touches the sand.
Their white crests are strong and foaming,
Crashing like thunder now,
They fall before me surging fast
Upon these endless shores.

I look across the sea at all the waves that are rolling,
So far in the distance their beauty remains,
Carried on winds which are blowing so strongly,
Towards the headland their power now gains.
The spray from the water flying,
Rainbows in sunlight shine,
The gusts of wind are blowing forth
Around these endless shores.

I look across the sea at all the waves that are rolling,
I stand alone and I'm dreaming of you,
So far away on the distant horizon,
Beyond the ocean that's so clear and blue.
That now lies between us so far,
I cannot reach your hand,
I wish the tide would bring you back
Towards these endless shores.

What a beautifull write filled with so much pain as the waves of the sea rush in and rush out, like the ponding of your aching heart for a love that was oh so sad to end... I enjoy all your writtings you know that, dont you? But once in awhile one comes along, and as I read your opening stanza I knew I was reading your heart as you stood on the raging sea........
