Endless Winter Poem by Rose Danielle

Endless Winter

Rating: 5.0

The saddest thing I've ever heard
Is the silence in this room
At least when you said 'goodbye' there were words

I wish that you'd come back to me
I hope you come back soon
I miss you more than anything on earth

The sun doesn't shine as bright
And the world seems so pale
The colors of the flowers seem to fade

Winter has come back again
And ice has covered everything
Turned my vivid world to a dark gray

The warm summer breeze has turned
To a frigid blizzard wind
When it hits me there's a tingle in my spine

My summer has been taken
Away from me again
But it seems I'll never get it back this time

The saddest thing I've ever known
Is the coldness in this room
At least when you hugged me goodbye, I was warm

And now I'm stuck in endless winter
You're never coming back
And I am left to be forever torn
