Enlightened Poem by Ima Ryma

Such a long way I had to go.
As I journeyed into the night,
I felt the wind begin to blow,
And on my face first raindrops light.
And then the rain came in a blast,
Causing me to step up my pace
Toward my future and not my past.
There was no storm I would not face.
Dark in my life I'd leave behind,
Not afraid of harsh skies above,
For I was on my way to find
What I had lost, the grace of love.

Through the stormy night I did roam,
But as the dawn broke, I came home.
