Envy The Honey Bee Poem by Juan Olivarez

Envy The Honey Bee

Rating: 5.0

Oh to be free,
as a honey bee.
So many petals,
would open for me.
A rainbow of flowers,
would beckon me in,
I'd never be lonely,
buzzing the glen.
With the sweet nector,
upon my tongue,
I'd taste all with laughter,
and never be done.
Playing the field,
from morning till night,
with a bountiful yield,
forever in sight.
At night i would dream,
of the coming day,
and hatch a new scheme,
for more endless play.
