Eucalyptus Fires Poem by Juan Olivarez

Eucalyptus Fires

Sitting round the fire
Just thinking and vegitating
Watching the stars
On a crystal clear
Desert night.

Fragrant smoke all around
Coyotes howling in the hills
Not a cloud in the sky
To hide the stars

And from Yucca Valley
Eyes can see my glow
My Eucalyptus fire
Dreams are made of such things.

Another gem Juan. Your imagery and ambiance are top notch. Very enjoyable read. Makes me want to take a vacation somewhere warm and go camping
