Escape With Me Poem by Edwina Reizer

Escape With Me

Can you take me to Jupiter or
maybe even Mars?
Can you break down
all these prison bars
that imprison me right here?
'Cause this big old earth
is keeping you away from me
instead of keeping you near.
Or maybe you can take me to Norway
to see a great sunrise.
Maybe we could see it
right before our eyes.
Or how about a trip to Italy
to a village by the sea.
Oh hell, just take me anywhere,
where you can be with me.

Dedicated to Denny Grippen, my long time friend
