Treasure Island

Carlos Aragao

(10-17-1959 / Brazil)

Numa esquina do tempo,
me fiz vento....
E te busquei, entre covas e alcovas,
entre gritos e lamentos...

Salvarte, perderte,
existe diferenca(?)
Quando ja nao eres,
ja nao podes..

Te busco, soprando ao teu redor,
te busco numa ansia,
num frenesi,
mas ja nao eres....

O que(ou quem) ,
busco e uma memoria,
um momento de prazer,
uma saudade, um mito..

Porque nem tu,
e menos eu,
somos o que fomos,
ou seremos (jamais) ,
o que sonhamos...

Ja nao sou o vento,
Ja nao eres meu alento,
Ja nao te vejo,
Ja nao me encontro.

Tempo, vento e saudade,
Apenas cinzas, do que eramos...

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
