all she wanted from the start,
was for a boy to win her heart.
he forgot everything now except her her name,
and the smile she had, her claim her fame.
she wanted to forget, thats all she'd do.
she wanted to forget she loved him too.
she tried to forget he broke her heart,
she tried to forget he tore her her apart.
look behind a her smile and bright eyes
for this can be her best disguise
from the pressures of society and this unforgiving place
she hides behind her pretty face
perfections what she strives to gain,
her skin and bones, exude the pain.
if you sit and close your eyes
you can hear the girl and her cries
her silent mind screams inside
from all the hurt she cannot hide
the silent tears escape her eyes
that speak so much pain and goodbyes
when does all this misery end
this is the truth that would not bend
and as these silent tears escape
of a broken heart they take the shape.
