Eternal Butterfly Poem by David Wood

Eternal Butterfly

The elusive butterfly
Wants for nothing
Cast adrift on the wind of chance
It wanders carefree

It has no place to rest its head
Nor does it suffer harsh cruel winters
Or have a need to work
But its beauty is for all to see

Who can forget such a sight
As a butterfly that briefly enters
Your world and in a flash - gone
Beauty remembered for all eternity

A lovely poem. The beauty of a fleeting butterfly lingers in our mind.
