Eternal 'he' Poem by Debabani Chandra

Eternal 'he'

Lightning strikes the black sky,
Downpour numbs the world in silence,
Chains of bondage broken,
Incarnates 'He'the eternal,
The flute of whose resurrects love,
A submission transcending all barriers,
Devotion 'He'listens.
The bale of cloth rolls down,
To cover the disgrace of womanhood.

Sinner to be punished,
Weak-kneed chastised,
Laid down his bow in the battle field,
Distressed to kill brothers and elders.

Death is inevitable,
Body is burnt,
Soul is free,
Karma to be judged,
Devotion of tears for you to seek for me,
Temptation to be defeated,
To look for me within,
I am omnipresent and omniscient,
Cycle of death and birth is my game,
Cosmos is 'I',
You to aspire to be with me
in my aboard free from the pains
of life and death.
