Eulogy Poem by Lance Carthen

Lance will be missed
He truly was one of a kind
Alwsys looking for a new journey
So he wouldnt be one of the blind
He loved the world through his poetry
Hid his pain through it as well
Spoke of dreams and what we could make
Wandering the world and fantasie places
Yes he will certainly be missed
A breed so rare, emotions made him tick
To him a flower spoke a million words
Beautiful thoughts of childhood pasts
In a poem make the memory lasts
Although he came upon hard times
He was always able to pull through
He told by many he would never be anyone
Lance knew what he had to do
He had to pull the proverbail rug from under these people
To make them see the truth
For Lance knew what he was capable of as many would just laugh
He would get a out a piece of paper and start writing
Poems that released him from this trap
Over time the wrtings grew in strength and Lance did too
He overcame obstacles people didnt think he would get through
He overcame them all finding himself once and for all
Leading a happy life with his daughter, the pride of his life
Many more things could be said for Lance
All of them would be true
But the most important of is for hin to know
Lance we miss you...
