Even When Dreaming Poem by Benjamin Rome Clarke

Even When Dreaming

The one that hurts me
Who inflicts me with how much I love him
He fell from the chapel roof
When I found out I lamented
I ran to him
But it had never happened
But I had run to him
And neither of us understood
While I may love him so much
Even when dreaming it is inconceivable
It is inconceivable even in dreams
For him to be with me

It is the most frustrating thing when you love someone unrequitedly, but you can never be together. Not even in your wildest dreams.
