Evening Poem by Freni Karaluthara

Evening

Rating: 2.5

As I walked towards night,
the evening came across my way.
We went together to a beach.
As we await the sunset,
He sheared his Heart with me.
He is an all-time traveler.
On his journey he met with,
nations, cultures, traditions,
kings and heroes of all ages.
I was surprised to hear that,
He met every human personally.
(because everything has an evening)
And in his unending journey,
He set an evening for me too.
He showed his Calendar,
that began on the Day:
' And there was evening and there was,
Morning the first day'.
He opened my page and smiled.
The evening grew darker and darker,
then I saw a bright Morning Star, blessed Mary.
O' Queen of Morning, hold on my hand.

Evening
