Every Candle Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Every Candle

You're dressed in light my dapper Queen
Surrounded by stars
Fondled by moonlight
Adored with tides of mellow dreams
We are ancient rocks
Agates of the solstice circles

We meet on the edge of life
Trees in the breeze
Giving gifts from valleys of praise
Assured of our place of virtue
Rapture is deep inside
Olive branches in morning sun

I am like winter frost on the trees
Changing into eternal peace
Your goodbye must be real
We leave our fountains of color
We take the wreaths of memory
Clouds fill with soft halos

Every candle a prayer lit in time
