I decided to take a lesson
From a book called living in the present
And I figured that if today is my last
Then I’d better stay I love you

Now I know that it is over
I see you walkin’ away
And my heart tells me that you’re through
But I just wish that you’d stay

All I feel when you’re around is pain
So stay away

I have dreamt of your love as your body my fingers trace
And when I close my eyes I can see your face
Makes me wish that I had never memorized
Every feature every line

Now I know that it is over
And I feel that your heart is through
I wish that you still loved me
And I wish that you would stay
