Expctations: Poem by Sherry Painter

Expctations:

Torn with being the person you are
and the person you want to be
Can never be content
Because of ones own expectations of themselves

Expectations can be the death of who you actually are
Hindering from shinning with your own brightness

We come in all shades
Of all colors
Colors we need to come to love
Because we are who we are
And nothing more
Nothing less
Love who you are
because you are beautiful the way you are
