Explorer's Rap Poem by MafiaX DarkSwarm

Explorer's Rap

Chorus:
When the Ottomans blocked the trading trails,
The Europeans decided to set the sails.
Finding Asian goods was very tough,
So they travelled ‘round the world to find that stuff!

Christopher Columbus:
When Christopher heard that the earth was flat,
He wanted to go west and disprove all of that.
With a crew of three ships, he started toward the tides
he travelled dead straight, without proper guides

Columbus was expecting to see the magnificent lairs,
But he only saw huts with great despair.
No matter, he still traded what he had,
And got all these new foods, which were really rad.

Chorus
It came from when Ottomans blocked the trails,
The Europeans decided to set the sails.
Finding Asian goods was very tough,
So they travelled ‘round the world to find that stuff!

Vasco De Gama:
De Gama wanted to eat those peppery spices,
But going through the trails had large extended prices
So how to get around all this junk,
Was to sail around the place and avoid getting sunk!

Being first to India travelling by sea,
Gama’s trip made trading cheaper indeed.
Many others decided to find more things out,
Magellan tried to find a faster route.

Chorus
So once the Ottomans blocked the trading trails,
The Europeans decided to set the sails.
Finding Asian goods was very tough,
So they travelled ‘round the world to find that stuff!

Ferdinand Magellan:
Ferdinand Magellan- a Portuguese sailor
sadly ended up another failure
he succeeded to sail ‘cross the giant land
although that was nothing to what they had planned

Magellan sailed farther than all the rest
but his journey was only a experimental test
his crew sailed straight past their expected trip
so they only came back with a single ship

Chorus
When the Ottomans had blocked the trading trails,
The Europeans decided to set the sails.
Finding Asian goods was very tough,
So they ventured ‘round the world to find that stuff!
