Exploring Spells Poem by John McCaffrey

Exploring Spells

blessed art thou
silent beating heart
scattered amongst ruins on your Island of water
look not back in sorrow
too other places crooked in absolute eternity
but search between the unchanging stillness
off winding figments
endlessly restored
O lonely mantle of pale flowers
ascend and chant sunlight thou hast heard softly
