Expressing Truth Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Expressing Truth

A long wait for the spring-
Coming with its original fragrance
For many decades Kashmiri Pandits
Yearning to go back homes to Kashmir
With the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A
Finally, looking up so great, so grand a hope!

What about the entire generation-
That has just grown away from the Valley
In absence of love and affection of native land
Now, turned into brave Indians not Kashmiri alone!

After having faced the slaps and blows of time
In thankfulness of God for tortures and rebirth
The heart and mind leaving their original place
After hearing the nude and naked woeful tales
Can't imagine that cruel cou'd be a neighbour!

Stirring stories and narratives of trauma-
The whole world observing silence against
Thus, my pen, ink and paper getting jammed
Lacking in ability and words expressing truth!
