eyelids barely parting—
to a collage of
ochre-sallow and coral-peach
in a Palimpsest of
purplish pink and
i wade through this bit of
stream half dream,
eddying ‘round moist
scenting breeze
whirling your mound humid,
naked, our shadows
carry us in faint steps,
barely perceptible lull,
slight noise like
silk rubbing its skin against
leaves blown dull
by the wind
