F.A.I.T.H. Poem by Luke Easter

F.A.I.T.H.

I made an acronym for faith,
Forsaking All I Take Him,
Believe in, adhere to, and rely on,
Only then will the blessed promises begin.

Like the path of a Niagara waterfall,
Not my will but Thine will be done,
It flows to me from the Father,
In F.A.I.T.H. through Jesus, His Son.

A lot of people have turned away,
From His teachings in “that book”,
Do you still think the world is a beautiful place?
All you have to do is open your eyes & look.

Why do so little have a lot?
Yet many only possess a few,
Where do you spend the Sabbath?
Anywhere else except upright in a pew?

Although the teachings of the bible are many,
They are still found in the same place,
Want the promises as children of Abraham?
Seek His divine will through F.A.I.T.H.

What is His will for anyone?
I’d be lying if I told you I knew,
Some receive with just a walk in the park,
For others it’s a rocky road they’ll go through.

Will the reward be greater?
If it’s longer you have to wait?
Whatever the time limit is,
You’ll never receive without F.A.I.T.H.

Sometimes I’ll sit back and think,
If I was God this is how it would be…
Although I might distribute it differently,
People would still have to believe in me.

Maybe that’s what the problem is,
And why the entrance is a Narrow Gate,
If you were God would you give blessings?
To anyone who didn’t have F.A.I.T.H.?

F.A.I.T.H. is an attitude,
A lifestyle if you please,
I ask that it grows stronger,
While praying on my knees,

Thankful for the Son of Man,
Oh Lord You sure do please us,
That’s we named our focus group,
Women at the feet of Jesus.
