Let's walk together on through the forest way;
And sit beside a silent stream,
Sharing our love with one another;
Where we'll lay our souls to bare & promise not to stray;
Resting up against a tree to dream,
Holding each other neath the maple's shade of cover,
Watching the sailboats move out on the bay,
As we wear a smile on our faces; while our eyes gleam,
But soon day ends; so we won't tarry long as lovers,
For this can't go on forever, like some fairytale;
So we'll stroll back home hand in hand, before the moonlight pales.
