Faceless Poem by Hannah Hebditch

Faceless

Rating: 5.0

Yesterday I was a person walking in the wind
Now I’m a shadow from the past
I keep trying to reach
These little secrets ready to fall from the cliff’s edge

And sunny days aren’t when everything is okay
It’s when the earth is burning beneath our feet
Another life is crushed
Forgotten

When it goes dark, however
Things crawl back to their usual places
Be ready
I’m coming home again

I won’t break you down like I want to
Or tie webs of hatred under your skin
I’ll be the silent soul walking through your eyes
I'll always be here
