Faces Poem by Miggie ...

Faces

I look around me and see the once familiar faces
The faces that are now obscured by face upon face upon face…
Of words and deeds and emptiness that are not of the origin but
Only there to hide that is in plain sight to those look at them.

The faces may be obscured for now but they are still there…
Waiting only to be remembered even if they do not know it,
Yet…
Using words and deeds these faces drive away those that can remember,
Or just fooling all those around them enough…

How long will these faces of hurt guide their deeds and words?
And not love or forgiveness?
How long will these faces of acceptance silence them?
And when will their true hearts speak?
How long will these faces of anger hide them?
And when will sanity reveal them?
How long these faces drive them away from those who care?
And not those who care pull him back?
How long will these faces they have hide them?
When will courage prevail? To face the faces of what they have become?

Where has the true faces of the world decides to run…for eyes might not see but a heart never lies…
When will the hollowness fall away?
