Changing Poem by Miggie ...

Changing

In a world filled with change
I saw you standing there
Saw you looking around
Amusement shining from the corners of your mouth
Teasing those who keep shifting

Feet slipping I see the extended hand
Why tease me with a few moments?
Looking up, the beauty of the moment stole away my heart and soul
What isn’t worth giving up for this?
Frozen in a breath of time
A sparkle in a eye
A flower in mid bloom
A harsh word halted
A hug extended
Forever will these be engraved in memory, treasured...
While sadness slowly rolls from my eye
For they are just that
Memories
While the moments drift soundlessly away
Further and
Further

I look back
There you still stand
Amusement radiating of you
Sadness blurring the corners of your eye
For we can never stay
