Fail-Safe Poem by Michael Arthur

Fail-Safe

There isn’t an end
written down
Don’t you understand
white spaces
There isn’t an end
written down
Don’t you understand
blank faces
It’s not as if I was born
morning before yesterday’s dawning
I came to life
when I watched your lashes
rapidly crash
Rings are promises
bought with a old shirt
torn off his scapula and pawned off
Once our fail-safe
There isn’t an end
written down
Don’t you understand
blank faces
