Every year there comes a day
when winter begins and all come out to play
Young fairies of the snow come dance in the wind
as snowflakes come falling, they twirl and spin
All but one thats too shy to go out
she sits by her window
While the others fly about...
She spots one fairy
The goddess of snow
she observes her freeness
And watches as the snowflakes glow
Inside her heart
she knows that she's ready to fly
Whats holding her back?
Her thoughts say she's still shy...
That night, looked up in the sky is what she did
Gazed at the brightest star
And wished upon it...
'O bright star that I see through mine eyes
Please grant my wish, give me the courage to go out and fly'
Her wish was granted, and so she flew out
To play and dance under the moonlight
Doing what all winter fairies do

Hi Panda - I love it awesome poem. WINTER FAIRIES - WOW! ! ! We always read about Fairies in the Spring - Summer - Autumn but very seldom in the Winter. Verse One: When i read you poem i remembered looking out of the Window in January and imagining the mega snow flakes looked just like 'Snow Fairies' - glad you saw them too. All poets need imagination. Verses 2,3 & 4. This is sad but lovely. 'Too shy to go out' We have all had that experience Panda so we can empathise with the 'Little Snow Fairy'. Verses 5 & 6. You know and I know Panda - 'When you pray and wish upon a star - all your dreams come true'. Verse 7. 'Her wish was granted'. When we reach out Panda - and pluck up courage - we can get out and join in the fun - playing and dancing and enjoying all the blessings God has for us. Love in poetry - JOHN.
