She was invisible in a world
Where beauty meant everything
An ugly duckling, she was
For the impassive hearts
Her days were always blue
Solitude, her only friend
No one stopped beside her
To console a bleeding soul
Every night, she prayed for miracles
Every night, her pillow soaked in tears
One such night, upon a shooting star
She wished for the love of her life
Far away, in the Milky Way
Prince of hearts, heard her sobs
He looked down and saw
The girl with a golden heart
Suddenly he felt something strange
Something he had never felt before
An urge to wipe away her tears
To shield her from all pains
He gently touched her with a smile
Beauty radiated from her heart
And transformed her entire looks
A pretty angel, she became
His love continued to groom her
Day by day, her beauty glowed
Her admirers grew in count
The wish came true for her
But, as in other fairy tales
They didn't live happily ever after
The sweet turned to sour
A bitter tale of betrayal
She moved with the ways of world
He couldn't keep up with her pace
He was left far behind, in agony
A chasm separated them for ever!
