He woke up into a dream
With two little purple wings
And fluttered in the blue sky
Feeling so light and free
Naughty lily winked at him
Daisy gave a knowing smile
Pretty poppy called with a nod
Gosh! He got confused
Then he caught a glimpse of her
Behind the lush green leaves
A jasmine, so pure and fragile
Cupid's arrow struck him hard
With deep desire to gain her love
He circled her longingly
Though little scared and shy
She opened her heart for him
Their union so divine
Opened the doors of heaven
Angels showered blessings
Everything seemed forever
Staring blankly at the cocoon wall
He tried to solve the mystery
'Where are my wings?
Where is my love? '
Slowly, cleared the fog
Reality sank into him
It was just another dream
A dream about glorious tomorrow
He's a pupa, waiting to be a butterfly
A growing bud, she's yet to bloom
A love story in making stage
Beautiful are the ways of Nature
observant eye of a poet to catch nature's glory where beautiful things keep happening............................
Very well written... Starting lines and the title made me so curious about this Love Story... The way you broke the suspense at the end was splendid...
